Catalina Valenzuela

Senior Advisor, Education Projects

Catalina has over 15 years of experience creating meaningful educational experiences. She has worked as a teacher in London, in the same neighborhood where the Orange Clockwork was filmed. She has trained teachers on blended learning techniques and has developed courses for different clients and projects including the US federal Open Education Resources Initiative.

For the last five years, Catalina is a partner of TECHcetera, a digital platform providing information about the digital world for a non geek Spanish audience. At TECHcetera, Catalina has blogged and podcast on topics related to technology access and use in the education sector. She has also written on issues related to women’s inclusion in the digital world.

Catalina has wide working experience in the private and public sectors in Colombia, UK and US. She holds a BS in economics from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), a MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and MSc in education from Oxford Brookes. She also undertook doctoral studies on education policy at King’s College London. Catalina is an avid reader of news and fiction.
